Rumbi

Founder & Executive Director

Mrs Rumbi Magidivani-Sanderson is the founder of The BRAVE Foundation and is a passionate public health professional and early intervention mental health advocate. She has worked closely with at-risk children and young people with early indicators of poor mental health in some of Australia’s most disadvantaged communities. Rumbi is committed to making early intervention programs in mental health accessible for all, particularly in her home country of Zimbabwe. Rumbi believes that through early targeting of children at risk, BRAVE can make a long-term transformational impact. Rumbi earned a Masters of Public Health from the University of Newcastle, and a Bachelor Degree in Health Sciences (Majoring in Psychology, and Family, Society and Health) from Deakin University.

Brett

Program Director

Mr Brett Sanderson is a qualified Social Worker with broad experience in community development, community services, and multicultural affairs in Australia. Recently, Brett worked as a Youth Early Intervention Specialist in educational setting for homeless and socioeconomically disadvantaged young people. Brett works from a platform of culturally inclusive, trauma-informed, anti-racist/anti-oppressive, strengths-based and solutions-focused practices and is passionate about child welfare and young peoples mental health. Brett has a Master of Social Work and Bachelor in Human Services from La Trobe University and holds qualifications in management and human resource management.

Rambayi

Board Member

Mr Rambayi Majuru is an experienced and distinguished youth development advocate. Rambayi's vast experience in community development, youth career counselling and the public health sector adds invaluable insights and acumen to BRAVE's mental health programs and intervention offerings.

Isabel

Operations Director

Mrs Isabel Shumba is passionate about helping people, especially those experiencing abusive relationships. Isabel uses her own personal experiences growing up in an emotionally abusive environment to relate to the mission of BRAVE and believes the Foundation will have a profound impact on the lives of many vulnerable children. Isabel holds a Bachelor Degree (Hon.) in Forest Resources and Wildlife Management from the National University of Science and Technology, Zimbabwe.

Tadi

Partnerships Director

Mr Tadi Muganyi holds a PHD in Economics and is passionate about youth empowerment and development, particularly in sub-Saharan Africa. Being a development practitioner, Tadi believes in the transformative power of global collaboration particularly in tackling difficult issues such as mental health.

Rumbidzo

Marketing Director

Ms Rumbidzo Dakwa supports The BRAVE Foundation's social media and public engagement strategy and has worked in the marketing and public relations sector for almost a decade. She is passionate about engaging with people - including customers and staff - and helping them be the best versions of themselves. A dedicated family person and married with one child, Rumbidzo is a self-confessed 'foodie'  and also runs her own catering business.

Ella

Clinical Supervisor

Ms Ella Smith has over 16 years experience and is providing Clinical Supervision for The BRAVE Foundation. Ella has a strong knowledge base in trauma informed practice, risk assessment, case management, child protection practices, cultural inclusivity and humanitarian approaches to service provision. In clinical supervision Ella draws from a variety of theoretical foundations including strengths based, trauma informed practice, humanitarian, intergenerational, family therapy, and systemic impacts viewed through a holistic lens.

Sandra

Occupational Therapist - Consultant

Ms Sandra Moyo is an Occupational Therapist (OT) currently based in South Australia. Sandra will be providing ad-hoc consultancy services for The BRAVE Foundation. Sandra trained as a Rehabilitation Technician in Zimbabwe before later qualifying as an OT in Australia. She has a passion for working with people with disabilities and chose her career as she loves putting a smile on peoples faces. Sandra has broad experience working in physiotherapy departments, brain and spinal injury rehabilitation, aged care and community OT. Sandra is a mother of a bubbly 6-year old son and loves socialising and meeting new people.
